MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in his part of the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. The group released Dopamina the chart-topping second album, in the following year. In 2021, he sang the duet to TINI's smash song Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo is a renowned musician, born in a musical home. Both his parents also played the guitar. In interviews, he described the importance of music as a requirement. As a child, was playing the ukulele and piano. While his initial career goal was that of veterinarian, his brother Julian advised him to begin taking singing lessons from the Cuban. The lessons transformed his life forever.
