Rosalia Vila Also known as Rosalia, is a Spanish singer from flamenco. Since she was a teen she was involved with traditional as well as popular music. However, her musical interests have expanded to include hip-hop and soul. Pepe Habichuela, a flamenco guitar player of great talent, described her voice by saying it was sweet with an old-fashioned bite. El Mal Querer gained her fame and critical acclaim following her debut album Los Angeles was released in 2017. This album won her an award called the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake and many others. It was released in 2022, as a result of a Saturday Night Live appearance by the singer Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer to sing on her own in the show. Motomami was the sole female in history to be the winner of the Latin Album of the Year two times as well as three Latin Grammy Awards.
